The Grand Palais Immersif Holds an Exceptional Frida Kahlo Exhibition

The life of Frida Kahlo will be writ large in full colour at the Grand Palais Immersif. The venue, a new addition to the Opéra national de Paris, RMN-Grand Palais and other partners, specialises in digital exhibitions to explore a work of art, an artist or a movement.

Visitors to ‘Frida Kahlo ¡Viva La Vida!’ will be fully immersed in the life and works of Mexico’s most famous artist, with a combination of audiovisual, narrative, interactive and immersive content, set out in a space where the public can wander and explore.

Set up in part of the ‘modular auditorium’ at the Opéra Bastille, Grand Palais Immersif offers two main exhibitions a year, each providing a rich experience for visitors. The exhibition devoted to Frida Kahlo is not just an homage to the legendary Mexican icon but also an art experience in its own right, that submerges the senses in Kahlo’s emotional world, with the use of 360-degree video projections, lighting effects and sound.
