Hard though it is to believe, hidden away in the south-west of Paris is what will soon be the largest urban farm in Europe. Caroline Harrap pays a visit.
As a soft breeze ripples through the nearby summer flowers, the scent of lavender fills the air and all that can be heard is the sound of birdsong. Surrounding us are clusters of succulent-looking strawberries. While it may feel as though we are in some picturesque spot in the heart of Provence, we are, in fact, on the top of a building in the south-west of Paris.
