“Lady Liberty. Sweat, Daring, and Genius”
Temporary Exhibition
From 22 September 2026 to 1 August 2027
An immersive experience at the heart of the construction of the Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty, or Lady Liberty, isn’t just an icon of New York and the United States: she’s also a masterpiece of ingenuity — French ingenuity! Born in Paris at the end of the 19th century, within the Gaget workshops and that of Auguste Bartholdi, her construction called upon skills, trades and men capable of pushing back the technical limits of their time.
To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, the MuAM invites you to step behind the scenes of this extraordinary project, through a brand-new, immersive exhibition route. Amid video projections, 3D installations and real-life sets, step into the making of a work forged in sweat, driven by daring and carried by genius.
