Île-de-France
Île-de-France is a north-central region which surrounds Paris, the nation’s capital. The region comprises eight departments: Paris, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne, Val-de-Marne, Val-d’Oise and Yvelines. The region is known as a corporate and cultural hub, with 30 million tourists flocking to Paris every year.
