Ma Kelu – Breath and emptiness

The first exhibition in France dedicated to Chinese artist Ma Kelu brings his atmospheric abstract paintings to the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine in Paris. Displayed alongside medieval murals and frescoes, his expressive works explore movement, time, colour and gesture. Layered brushstrokes and shifting forms create dreamlike compositions that bring contemporary painting into dialogue with historic architecture.
