Musée des Dentelles et Broderies de Caudry

Musée des Dentelles et Broderies de Caudry

With its six active lace-making houses, le Musée des Dentelles et Broderies de Caudry is now a world centre for lace used in haute couture and luxury ready-to-wear fashion. The museum, located in a former lace workshop dating from 1898, showcases this living heritage while also highlighting the region’s other textile arts, including tulle, guipure and embroidery, all part of the Caudrésis textile tradition.

Among the highlights of the visit is the presence of a tullist who shares their expertise through live demonstrations on a Leavers loom. Interactive touchscreen videos also allow visitors to explore the heart of Caudry’s lace-making industry. The museum shop offers a wide range of lace products throughout the year, regularly updated to reflect current trends.
