Musée Vignacourt 14-18

The Vignacourt 14–18 Interpretive Centre is a unique museum dedicated to World War I. Located in a restored farmhouse, it showcases the remarkable Thuillier photo collection, created by a local farming couple between 1914 and 1918. During the war, Vignacourt was an important Allied rear base, where soldiers came to rest. Louis and Antoinette Thuillier turned their farm into a photography studio, capturing thousands of portraits of soldiers and civilians. Rediscovered nearly a century later, these images offer an intimate and emotional insight into daily life behind the front lines.
