Every French region has its speciality, and the coastal town of Douarnenez in west Brittany is rightly proud of its Kouign Amann: a delectable sweet treat bursting with flavour and a fair few calories. We spent the morning with one of the few local bakers still making this cake by hand, using traditional ingredients.
