La Coupole, located 5km from Saint-Omer (in the Nord–Pas-de-Calais), is one of the most impressive vestiges of World War Two in Europe.
Initially constructed as the first German base for launching V2 rockets, the site was rehabilitated in 1997 as a Centre for History and Remembrance, and later a Resource and Research Centre. A 3D Planetarium was also added to its science facilities.
