Avignon-Sienne

In cooperation with Sienna’s Pinacoteca, an exhibit of some 40 works documenting the influence of 14th-century Avignon painter Simone Martini on the work of early Siennese artists is on display this month at the Musée du Petit Palais in Avignon. It’s an important small show, and also a good excuse to visit the wonderful permanent collections of this delightful museum in the city’s former episcopal palace.
