Win a VIP Two-night Stay in a Luxury Hotel in Champagne Worth €1,450

We’ve teamed up with OenoSpheres to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a VIP two-night stay with their loved one at the four-star boutique Hôtel de la Poste. Plus a full day in a chauffeur-driven luxury car, visiting champagne cellars, tasting champagne and discovering the beautiful countryside of the Aube département.

Centred around the medieval city of Troyes, the Aube département is home to ‘the other’ Champagne region – the Côte des Bar, where a host of small, artisan winemakers produce more than a third of the total of all champagne. In the heart of the historic centre of Troyes, the erstwhile coaching inn Hôtel de la Poste, now a four-star boutique hotel, is a haven of peace and tranquillity. Recently renovated, its atmosphere is one of modern, cosy elegance, with an equestrian theme which reflects its past history. It makes for the ideal centre from which to discover this beautiful city and the surrounding region.

After your first night in the four-star hotel, the next morning you will be collected after breakfast by your chauffeur-driven, comfortable private shuttle for a whole day visiting champagne producers and other attractions, including, of course, lunch. Round off your day with a glass of champagne overlooking a beautiful lake, before heading back to the hotel to change, ready for dinner in a contemporary restaurant in the vibrant centre of Troyes, followed by a second night at Hôtel de la Poste, all courtesy of OenoSpheres, the top local company for tailored wine tourism. The unmissable city of Troyes is the historic capital of the Champagne region, a city of narrow streets and half-timbered buildings, many dating from the 16th century, brimming with restaurants, art and culture. Wines from the vineyards of the Côte des Bar are of first-class quality and are often used in blends made by the top champagne houses, as well as being sold by the growers themselves, making excellent champagnes in their own right.

So here is your chance to learn just how the world’s top sparkling wines are made, during a bespoke visit to the stunning département of the Aube, with its rolling countryside and pretty villages, tasting fabulous champagne as you go.

Love reading each and every article of this magazine - Feel I am there - each region - especially areas I am familiar with - all comes back to me - food, galleries, countryside, sitting outside drinking coffee dans la rue. My wish is that a passport will be invented where people can travel again soon as they are safe to do so.
