Atlanta: Bizet’s Carmen

Georgia State University Opera Theatre and Symphony Orchestra presents the world’s most popular opera, featuring one unforgettable melody after another. The strong-willed gypsy, Carmen, is intertwined in a passionate triangle between herself, a jealous corporal and a swaggering toreador — resulting in explosive tragedy. You won’t want to miss Bizet’s fiery exploration of obsessive love. This new production also features flamenco dancers Julie Baggenstoss and Jose Giacomea, as well as members of the Georgia Boys Choir.
