New York: Rendez-Vous With French Cinema

From March 11 to March 21, head to the Film Society of Lincoln Center , the IFC Center and BAM for a smorgasbord of French films presented by Unifrance and the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

The 15th Rendez-Vous With French Cinema will offer viewings of more than 15 of the best contemporary French films, plus special panels with directors including Michel Gondry, and a showing of eight short films. Most directors will be present at the screenings of their films. =

“In addition to the films, highlights within the festival include: “A Conversation with Michel Gondry” one of the most innovative talents to have emerged in the past decade, ?”A conversation with Vincent Lindon”, for a stage conversation with the celebrated French actor, “New Films by… the Lumière Brothers!” Thierry Frémaux, the Cannes Film Festival’s Artistic Director, returns to the Walter Reade Theater with an amazing selection of newly restored films by the inventors of cinema. Rendez-Vous also welcomes special events at Fiaf : Meet the actor director Yvan Attal and Meet the actress and director : Chiara Mastroianni and Christophe Honoré.”
