U.S. Based Ambassadors for France Today Magazine

Update: We’ve had a tremendous response from our readers! Thank you so much for your interest in the Ambassador position. Starting in October 2014, we’ve rolled out a pilot programme with France Today Ambassadors in four major cities (New York, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco). Our hope is to expand the programme nationwide… Stay tuned!

Are you a Francophile based in New York, Washington or California? Would you like to attend France-related cultural events and meetings on our behalf?

Our editorial teams are so busy in France that we don’t get the chance to meet enough Francophiles across the pond. Now we’re looking for a few select people to attend cultural events, press launches, and social gatherings on our behalf, especially in the East and West coast cities.

This would suit someone who is retired or working part-time and who can easily attend city-based events (evenings usually). Although you don’t need to be a writer or have any kind of media background, you must have an enthusiasm for France, French culture, art, cinema, food and lifestyle and you must enjoy networking and being the local representative of our brand.

For the right person, this should be a fun and stimulating role offering the chance to attend some very appealing events and venues and meet some fascinating people. This is a non-salaried position, however expenses will be covered and there will be an annual loyalty reward.

I noticed your request for Ambassadors for East or West coast cities. What about the Midwest? There is a huge population that you missing! I was an exchange student to France-1980-81 and came home with a fervent desire to encourage travel to France and explore your marvelous country. I still maintain contact with my French family and they love to visit the St. Louis area when the visit. Thank you letting me vent! Sincerely, Gretchen Harmon
