L’Echoppe

Challenged in the gift-finding department? Need to impress a persnickety hostess? Enter L’Echoppe, a brand-new gourmet boutique on the wildly chic rue des Martyrs that will assemble just the right gustatory gift for any special occasion under the sun. Leave it to a Parisian to know what’s needed to wow and impress, win someone over or just smooth the waters. Owner Sabine de Soyres, a dedicated gourmande, has scoured
France to find the best regional delicacies in four categories: wines and champagnes, flowers, gourmet groceries, and sweets and chocolate. Soyres has also taken pains with the price-to-quality quotient, making sure that her select products represent the best of both. Each of the 50 or so wines available in the store hover around the €10 mark, but Soyres will gladly cater to any budget, and offers a mid-priced basket of goodies in the range of €16. Soyres calls her store a marchand de petits bonheurs—and those small pleasures here come in beautiful packages.

47 rue des Martyrs, 9th, 01.42.81.49.53.
