Larroque Haute Gites
Set in the picturesque countryside of Cassagnes and run by lovely Irish couple Carl and Tara (of Channel 4 fame), Larroque Haute Gites offers a ‘tranquil retreat’ for discerning holidaymakers.
The 3 award-winning cottages blend traditional charm with modern comforts, and all have a private terrace overlooking the extensive gardens. There’s also a superb swimming pool which is heated through to mid-October.
For more indulgence, the couple offer a range of luxury hampers with meat and vegetarian options. They also do festive/winter breaks where you can get cosy by the log-burning fire and enjoy the magic of the Lot region at this time of year.

Le Domaine Quercus
At Domaine Quercus, English-speaking Bruno and Emmanuelle offer a ‘haven of peace’ for guests (couples and families) where they can slow down, immerse themselves in nature, and rejuvenate.
There is a strongly sustainable approach throughout (the Domaine is in the process of gaining the Clef Verte label) and the tastefully styled accommodation includes three cottages and two guest rooms. There is also a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Ayurvedic massage room, and table d’hôte.
The emphasis with the food is on sourcing organic/seasonal/local produce, and providing regular vegetarian dishes, but make sure to reserve your bread and pastries! E-bikes can be delivered to the site too so you can explore the exceptionally beautiful Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park at a gentle pace, whilst benefiting from the exercise.

Le Perchoir du Quercy
A spacious, log-cabin style eco-gîte set on a hillside, Le Perchoir du Quercy offers a wonderful holiday home for families or large groups (sleeps 8 + cot for a baby).
Relaxing in the Nordic hot tub on the terrace whilst you enjoy the fabulous views of the Quercy Blanc countryside is a must. Apéro boxes with delicious foods (using local, seasonal and organic products wherever possible) can also be provided for your arrival.
The accommodation is ‘equipped to the highest standards’ and attractively furnished. Plus, there’s a pétanque court and parking for 4 cars. The pretty village of Montcuq, with its lovely lake offering a range of aquatic activities, is also on the doorstep.

Hôtel-Spa le Saint-Cirq
With wonderful views of Saint-Cirq Lapopie and a super-relaxing spa/well-being centre, this hotel is a 3-star that definitely feels more like a four, or even a five. No wonder it’s attracted a host of celebrities, including the Macrons!
The elegantly styled and very comfortable accommodation includes suites and family rooms, and there are two outside swimming pools set amongst the vineyard and lush gardens. Plus, there’s an excellent restaurant and a delightful terrace.

Château de Mercuès
Beautifully situated at the heart of the Lot valley, this 13th-century château is as romantic as it is majestic. The luxurious rooms are fit for royalty too, and there’s a 24hr concierge/reception service.
There’s also a range of activities on-site including, wine-tasting, tennis, and swimming in the spacious (25m) pool. Plus, there’s a spa service in partnership with Phyt’s at nearby Caillac. But foodies will enjoy the Michelin-starred restaurant in particular, with its focus on the ‘flavours of Quercy,’ including black truffle, saffron and Malbec de Cahors.
