The exhibit documents the enduring influence of the Art Nouveau movement that first developed around 1900, as its sinuous lines, vegetal motifs and biomorphic forms were repeatedly adopted by successive generations — the Surrealists in the 1930s, psychedelic artists in the mid-1960s, and interior and industrial designers in the 1970s.
