More Information

Each June since 1982, amateur and professional musicians all across France invade the streets and courtyards, squares and gardens, stations and museums, for the pleasure of playing music, listening and sharing. Not satisfied by simply bringing music out into the open, Music Day (Fête de la Musique) has become a genuine social phenomenon.

In keeping with the tradition and spirit of this celebration, the Alliance Française de Washington is offering its space and promotional support to provide emerging artists and and up-and-coming musicians with a unique opportunity to show off their skills during la Fête de la Musique. The 6-hour musical program will run from 5:30 to 11:30 pm.

This year the entire event is free but reservations are required. Cash bar.

Please indicate if you and your children would like to participate in the Music for Children program when making your reservations as places are limited and specific reservations are required for this portion of the program.
