New York: “In the Words of Duras” Festival

A superstar team of artistic centers and French culture organizations has assembled a multidisciplinary tribute to Marguerite Duras, the celebrated French author, playwright and film director.

Held in several different venues throughout New York, this month-long festival features the feminine touches of Duras’s plays directed by women, as well as her life in photographs by friend and established photographer, Hélène Bamberger. Exclusive dramatic readings and lectures by experts will enrich your appreciation of Duras and her renowned work, which includes films such as Hiroshima Mon Amour, India Song and Nathalie Granger.
