Isabelle Hayeur at the Silverstein Gallery

 

Silverstein Photography is pleased to announce this year’s curatorial selection of photographers for the Silverstein Photography Annual (SPA. Montreal artist Isabelle Hayeur has been selected by Ann Thomas, Curator of Photographs at the National Gallery of Canada.

Born in Montreal, Isabelle Hayeur creates photographic images of reconstructed landscapes combining multiple images.

In May 2008, Isabelle Hayeur has been selected by New York’s 511 Projects to present NUITS AMÉRICAINES at the first New York Photography Festival. These intriguing and disquieting large images are digitally composed from multiple numeric photographs of suburban and rural landscapes and architecture. They reflect on the transformation of North American landscape in the context of the global economy.

Her work has been widely showcased in Canada, Europe, The United States, Mexico, Argentina and Japan.
