Lanvin for La Poste

Bon anniversaire

Besides wowing the fashion cognoscenti with tuxedo dresses and off-the-shoulder jumpsuits for spring/summer 2010, Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz has put his talent for witty doodling to good use, creating two colorful postage stamps for the French post office, La Poste. As part of the ongoing celebrations to mark the 120th anniversary of Paris’s oldest existing couture house—founded by Jeanne Lanvin in 1889—the Lanvin stamps can be purchased from the French postal service’s website, laposte.fr. Those lucky enough to be in Paris on this occasion can snap up other limited-edition Lanvin goodies for La Poste including notebooks, pencils and stylish glass-dome paperweights.
