Les Rencontres d’Arles

The annual photo festival in the Provençal city of Arles is now in its 40th year. With more than 60 exhibits scattered throughout the center city, including the work of Willy Ronis, Lucien Clergue, Jean-Claude Lemagny, Nan Goldin, Duane Michals, Martin Parr, Eugene Richards, Les Rencontres d’Arles is one of the best events to explore in a French summer. France Today contributing photographer Guy Marineau was featured in last year’s festival.
