Competition: Win a Stay in a 4* Troglodyte Hotel in the Loire Valley

Experience the extraordinary at 4-star hotel-restaurant Les Hautes Roches near Tours in the heart of the Loire Valley. This unique 18th-century hotel is tucked into the tufa cliffs, giving guests the chance to stay in one of its exquisite troglodyte bedrooms carved into the rock. Cosy in winter and beautifully cool in summer, it’s an experience not to be missed.

I worked for a French company for a number years back in the 1980’s and always loved going to France. My only disappointment is that I didn’t get a chance to see much of the surrounding areas. I have made it back to France a number of times since then but it never seemed enough.

The above from Lois Fuchs being my sentiments entirely. When I look back the years - I never expected this to be the outcome. I thought excitement involved long trips to far-away places. My faimily say - " you only want to go to France" - but they are coming around. This year one came with me & 5 in other familuy are just back from campsite holiday, which was a return trip to same place - my little maps and information I picked up through the years is being put to good use. But glad they are not driving this time!
