Win 3-Day Passes to the Megève Blues Festival

There are few settings more striking for live music than a mountain village at the foot of Mont Blanc, and for three nights this summer, Megève turns its alpine charm over to the blues. From 31 July to 2 August 2026, the Megève Blues Festival returns for its 11th edition, bringing a line-up of international guitar heroes, soul powerhouses and rising stars to the open-air stage at Pré Saint-Amour.

A festival that has quietly become a must

What began in 2014 as the passion project of local musician and Megève devotee Stéphane Huget has grown into one of the most anticipated blues events of the French summer. After outgrowing its original home on the village church square, the festival found a natural amphitheatre in the greenery of Pré Saint-Amour, a move that let it expand without losing the warmth and intimacy that made its name.

The turning point came in 2019, when Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top stepped onto the stage, a clear signal of the festival’s growing stature. The editions that followed only confirmed it, drawing consistent praise from the specialist press and building a reputation for booking artists you won’t easily catch elsewhere.

The 2026 line-up

This year, that reputation for exclusives holds firm. Topping the bill is Kenny Wayne Shepherd, whose stop in Megève is his only French date of the tour. Three decades after emerging as a teenage prodigy with Ledbetter Heights, Shepherd is now one of the defining figures of modern blues-rock, and 2026 sees him touring to mark the album’s 30th anniversary, playing it in full alongside career highlights.
