Competition: Win a two night stay with a three course Michelin meal in Provence

We are delighted to offer a two-night stay for two people in a suite in the stunning 4-star Clair de la Plume in the heart of Provence.

Your stay will include a champagne breakfast, a three-course meal at Bistro Chapouton, which bears the Michelin Bib Gourmand, and a two-course meal at the Café des Vignerons. The voucher is valid for one year, excluding French school holidays, public holidays and special evenings.

Clair de la Plume is in the perched medieval village of Grignan, halfway between Lyon and Marseille, and just 2h 50m by TGV from Paris. Topped by a majestic castle, this Plus Beau Village in the southern Drôme looks out over the purple swathes of Provence’s famous lavender fields. The Rhône Valley, Ardèche gorge, Les Baronnies and the foot of the Alps are all within an hour’s drive. You also have four UNESCO-listed sites within an easy day’s trip: Orange, with its ancient Roman theatre and triumphal arch; Avignon with its world-famous Popes’ Palace; the Chauvet cave with its paintings dating back to 32,000 BC; and Roman aqueduct the Pont du Gard.

With tastings and tours involving lavender, truffles (from December to March), olives and wine all on offer to complete your Provençal experience, all that’s left is to unwind in luxury at Clair de la Plume, which has six locations around the village, including a Michelin- starred restaurant. Clair de la Plume is open all year.

Employees (and their relatives) of France Media Group are not eligible to enter. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Competition closes on 23rd May 2024. Once contacted, winner has one week to claim their prize. In the event that a prize cannot be supplied, no liability will attach to France Media Group. Prize to be booked through France Media. Subject to availability. No cash substitute.

I am learning french with Duolingo, I love this language, and french way of life. I would be so happy to win this competition, not only I would be able to practice my french but also have an experience at a Michelin restaurant and stay in such a beautiful 4 star hotel such as the Clair de la plume. I never been in Provence and it is in my list of places I want to visit and I am just dreaming now with the chance to win this competition and walk around the streets of the medieval village of Grignan!

France and the United States have been friends for many years. Now is the timer to take that friendship to a higher level by engaging in more "people to people" contact.

I am DYING to travel to Provence! I have read several books about Provence, including Peter Mayle's, One Year in Provence, and always wanted to volunteer for La Sabranique in St Victor de Costa. Don't know if this preservation group is still active. I have also read two other books about Provence villages by a professor who named Rousillion as the first one where he and his family stayed!! I also want to visit the Mediterranean areas and Avignon!
