Win Six Bottles of Wine from M. Chapoutier (Prize Value Around £110)
A biodynamic pioneer, M. Chapoutier is one of the oldest and most established companies in the rolling Rhône Valley with eight generations of winemaking dating back to 1808.
Chairman and winemaker Michel Chapoutier joined the family company in 1990 and he has put Chapoutier’s wines firmly on the wine world map. He describes himself as a wine-lover and life-lover. He and his ideas never sit still. Since 1991 Chapoutier have worked tirelessly to convert to biodynamic viticulture. Chemical pesticides are banned, and natural elements have been introduced (minerals, plants and animals) to preserve balance. If you are lucky, you might spot horses ploughing in the vineyards.
From 1996 onwards all their labels feature information in braille to help the blind and visually impaired. They are now making wines in many regions beyond the Rhône including southern France, Alsace and Germany.
Crozes-Hermitage Petite Ruche Rouge 2019 is made from 100% Syrah grapes. Richly scented with red berries, blackcurrant and raspberry with a fresh, rounded palate. Enjoy with red meats and stews. Suitable for vegans. www.chapoutier.com/en
