French Film review: Cocorico

French Film review: Cocorico

Young couple Alice and François came from very different backgrounds, but as they’re about to get married, they decide it’s time to organise a meeting between their two families. Especially for the occasion, Alice decides to offer both sets of parents DNA tests… and surprise, surprise the results cause rather a stir. After all, what could be worse for a conservative bourgeois man to learn he is not 100% French, or for a proud French car salesman to find out he actually has German origins? It’s not the deepest of movies, but it’s all thoroughly good fun with plenty of giggles – and sometimes that’s just what you want.

Director: Julien Hervé

Starring: Christian Clavier, Dider Bourdon
