Gacilly Photo Festival Takes on a British Flair

Renowned as Europe’s largest open-air photography festival, the La Gacilly Photo Festival transforms the village into a vast outdoor gallery, showcasing more than a thousand large-format images in the streets, gardens and alleys – accessible to all for free.

The 2025 edition, under the theme ‘So British!’, focuses on the unique and often witty perspectives of ten prominent British photographers, including Don McCullin, Martin Parr, Tony Ray-Jones, Mary Turner and Anna Atkins. The festival highlights the interplay between tradition and transgression, nature and society, and addresses pressing environmental and humanist themes.

In addition to the stunning exhibitions, the La Gacilly Photo Festival offers workshops, guided tours and conferences in line with its mission to make art accessible, while sparking reflection on contemporary social and ecological issues. Drawing more than 300,000 visitors, this festival is a must for photography enthusiasts.

Until October 5
