Mauboussin: Engaging Name Game

Since president Alain Nemarq took over the French luxury jeweler Mauboussin, the company has established a tradition of giving irresistibly charming names to its special collections. A few recent favorites: Trop Fou de Toi (Too Crazy for You); Tu Es La Seule de Ma Vie (You’re My One and Only); Le Vice et Le Vertu (Vice and Virtue).   

New this year is the Parce Que Je L’Aime engagement ring (Because I Love It). A younger sibling to the audacious, glittering Je Le Veux (I Want It) collection, Parce Que Je L’Aime is a beautifully simple white gold ring fully paved with diamonds. As engagement rings go, it’s relatively reasonable at $895, although Némarq recommends that the rings be worn in groups of three, five or even seven to have their best effect.
