More than a music festival 

Family Piknik is an immersive experience that celebrates the spirit of togetherness and community. The festival aims to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. As the name suggests, Family Piknik is particularly well-suited for families, with a range of activities designed to entertain both children and adults. Entrance is free for children from 6 to 14 years old, adults over 55 and people with disabilities so the whole family can join in the fun.  

The festival features an impressive lineup of world-class electronic music artists, with performances that span various sub-genres, including techno, house, and deep house. From renowned DJs such as Carl Cox & Solomun, to rising stars, the music at Family Piknik promises to create an electric atmosphere that will keep you dancing throughout the day.

Since 2012, Family Piknik has been winning hearts and gaining popularity. First imagined by founder Tom Pooks, the unique concept of the festival is about uniting generations far from clichés and under the umbrella of an eclectic cultural program. The event has evolved into an iconic festival that continues to push boundaries and provide unforgettable experiences, bridging the gap between generations and cultivating a strong sense of community.

A beautiful countryside location in the south of France 

The festival is set in an idyllic location, surrounded by the natural beauty of Frontignan’s countryside. Located only 5 min from the sea, the wide open-air venue offers ample space for music stages, dance floors, chill-out areas, and various other activities. 

 Whether you’re grooving to the beats on the dance floor or relaxing in the shade of a tree, you’ll feel a deep connection with nature throughout your experience.

Family-friendly activities 

Family Piknik goes the extra mile to ensure that attendees of all ages have an incredible time. The festival hosts a range of activities and attractions for children, including dedicated play areas, face painting, art workshops, and interactive performances. Parents can relax and enjoy the music while their little ones explore the festival’s engaging and safe environment. 

A camping area will also be created next to the festival (no children allowed) for those who want to experience one or several nights under a wonderful tipi or activate bivouac mode with their own equipment.
