Rock On: Baccarat
Those who like their rings big on bling will be pleased to learn that French crystal house Baccarat has partnered with jewelry designer Elie Top, renowned for his extravagant runway jewelry creations for Lanvin. Top’s fabulous new collection draws on Baccarat’s classic beveled crystal decanters, traditional favorites with international royalty and heads of state, and puts a clever twist on the colloquial French expression for large diamonds, bouchons de carafe—meaning “big rocks” as well as decanter stoppers. After exploring the Baccarat archives, Top has reworked the house’s sparkling crystal stoppers into a fabulous 12-piece line of bijoux including opulent pendants, oversize cuffs and larger-than-life rings in hand-cut crystal mounted on yellow or white gold.
