Troyes’ Modern Art Museum has Fully Reopened
After four years of renovations, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Troyes has fully reopened. The former episcopal palace has been reborn with a new visitor experience to showcase the collection and temporary exhibitions, as well as a major refurbishment of the building itself. A total of 2,070m² of space is now reserved for exhibitions of the 2,800 works, and 4,000m² for the beautiful garden showcasing contemporary sculpture.
The Lévy collection, the donation that gave birth to the MAM, features a chronological look at emerging European art in the mid-19th century and moves on to the mid-20th century, including the post-Impressionists, the Nabis and the Fauves. On the lower level are two monographic areas dedicated to two major artists in the collection: Maurice Marinot and André Derain. Other areas also focus on Surrealism, Expressionism, and the inter-war period.
Open daily except Mondays
