Learn French from Codegent’s LearnApp series is a very useful tool for anyone who’s keen to make the most of their stay in France by engaging with locals and communicating effectively at shops, restaurants or accommodation. This app’s also great for anyone who’s simply keen to brush up on their skills at home.

More than 800 words and phrases are featured, as high quality audio recordings by native speakers, with carefully considered pronunciation to ensure that as many people as possible will be able to follow the course. There’s also useful tips for travellers, a good keyword search facility and the option to store frequently used phrases in ‘Favourites’.

What’s more, this app is free of adverts and once it’s downloaded you don’t need an internet connection to use it.
