Located on the ‘Balcony of Bordeaux’ each king-size bed at Relais & Châteaux Le Saint-James has panoramic views so you can look out over the city and River Garonne. The hotel was designed by famed French architect Jean Nouvel and the unique design is inspired by the tobacco-drying barns in the region. Bordeaux is known for its high-quality cuisine and wine and Le Saint-James lives up to this, with a Michelinstarred restaurant at the hotel where head chef Nicolas Magie creates exquisite dishes.

This fabulous prize also includes learning French culinary skills from the best at the hotel’s Côté Cours cookery school. While staying at Le Saint-James you can also experience traditional cuisine at the hotel’s bistro, located just a two-minute walk away. Head sommelier Richard was awarded the honour of Best Sommelier in France 1997 and will be happy to offer a tour of the hotel’s wine cellar and vineyard, and let you sample the extensive range of wines on offer.
