A New Fashion Exhibition Celebrates Julien Fournié in Provence

The exhibition Julien Fournié: Haute Couture, un point c’est tout! opened this April at Lacoste’s stunning fashion museum and university campus, SCAD FASH, in Provence.

Set in the university’s expertly preserved medieval caves, Haute Couture, un point c’est tout! is the first exhibition for designer Julien Fournié and highlights a curated selection of nearly 20 of the designer’s most iconic gowns and creations, celebrating his technique and artistry in the traditional French savoir-faire of haute couture.

A surprising start in medical studies led Julien Fournié into fashion design and he finally graduated from the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne with a master’s degree in fashion design. He then worked in the houses of Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Jean Paul Gaultier, before creating his own house in 2009.

Located in the quaint provençal village of Lacoste, the SCAD FASH museum also serves as a campus of SCAD’s art and design university, based in Atlanta, in the United States.

Curated by SCAD FASH Creative Director Rafael Gomes, the exhibition runs until August 15 2023 at SCAD FASH, Lacoste. Free admission.
