Paris Gastronomic Scene: Say Hi to Restaurant H

Located on a discreet street between the Bastille and the Place des Vosges in the Marais district, Restaurant H offers gastronomic French cuisine based on the best of seasonal products. Here, everything evokes divine taste, from the product to the plate, along with the table décor chosen with care.

H is the initial of the first name of Chef Hubert Duchenne. Originally from Normandy, he was the long-time second of Akrame Benallal (of the Michelin-starred Akrame).

In 2015, Chef Duchenne was elected as a “young talent” by the prestigious Gault and Millau guide.

In opening Restaurant H, Chef Hubert created a place where his clients could feel at ease. An intimate space (only 8 tables), with a décor that is both minimalist and chic. The verdict? This is a winner!

The chef beautifully executes innovative cuisine. Each course is both unusual, subtle, and refined– a perfect match of tastes and textures. Start with the addictive house butter, and prepare for a culinary experience that will delight your taste buds, such as line-caught yellow Pollock filet over a lighter than air sabayon with pineapple and golden turnips, or veal with smoked leeks.

There is a choice of tasting menus of 3 (lunch only), 5 or 7 courses, for 30, 50 or 70 euros. The menu changes seasonally. The wine list is well inspired.

Restaurant H, 13 rue Jean-Beausire, 75004. Tel: +33 (0)1 43 48 80 96. Open from Tuesday to Saturday, lunch and dinner.
